Behringer X Air XR12 digital mixer – Product Review

My chains are broken! Break free from the restrictions of an analog mixer because the Behringer series of wireless mixers is where it’s at! As a working professional in the live sound industry, I can tell you that the Behringer X Air XR12 mixer has made my life a LOT easier for certain gigs that I do. It’s great for spaces that are TIGHT or when your mixer is placed in a location that’s not ideal. Here’s an example: Every Monday, I host an Open Mic for musicians in my lovely mountain town, Dahlonega, GA. It’s called Shenanigan’s Irish Pub, and the pub part of the restaurant is a very tight space! I set up my mixer against a wall, close to the power outlet. Then I plug all the mic and instrument cables into it. Once I’ve gotten everything set up and plugged in, I’m able to step away from the performing platform and sit down at a table in the pub. Using my iPad while simultaneously eating a Gold Miner Burger, I’m able to raise and lower levels, give the musicians more or less in the monitor, and best of all, I can hear exactly what the audience is hearing. I’m among them! I will add a video soon of using this mixer at Open Mic. Stay tuned! You can purchase the X Air mixer here.

Boss RC-300 Loop Station Pedal – Product Review

The Boss RC-300 Loop Station is frequently used for guitar and beatboxing, but can it be used for digital piano/keyboard and singing? YES! In this product review/demo, I show how you can plug your digital piano/keyboard into your Macbook via USB and using the 1000s of sounds from GarageBand (plus the Vocal presets for singing which include Compression and Reverb) make some really awesome music with the Boss RC-300 loop station (including pop music of today!). They call it a loop station because it’s not just one pedal, it’s 9 pedals! If this review helps you, please use this link to purchase it on Amazon and I will receive a small commission with no additional cost to you. Thanks!
